Hello, my name is Victor Lozano and I want to thank you for visiting my web site.
The purpose of this web site is to demonstrate my working knowledge of web development and other related technologies that enhance the visitor's experience.
Web standard compliance is very important to me so I like to use Adobe's Dreamweaver for it's feedback on browser compatibility and possible layout flaws. I prefer to use other tools for design layout such as Photoshop or Fireworks and then code the result for XHTML and CSS presentation. Dreamweaver is my text editor of choice.
What I Do
I come to this field with a graphic art background - fine art as well as commercial art. Photoshop retouching is a way that I enjoy expressing myself artistically. Please check out my Flash Gallery.
Programs that I currently work with are AutoCad 2008, utilizing it’s 3D capabilities for visual concepts and artwork. Other Abobe products that I work with are Flash and Illustrator. Each of these tools have been useful in realizing the visual presentation for my web work. The Adobe logo artwork on this page were created by macleod.mac.
Art and Things
The graphic presentation that I chose for my web site will continue to change as my experience and knowledge grows. Writing lean code using current coding techniques makes it possible to render a consistent look despite browser differences. Dealing with browser differences is all part of web design and development.
To achieve a consistent browser appearance requires a strategy. Rather than resorting to specific browser hacks, I try to find other ways to accomplish the look and function I want. With technologies always evolving, it’s important to look at things from different perspectives to accomplish the goal of presenting good web content and appearance.
